On February 21, I met my friend David at Toppekas’ restaurant and we had dinner together. We talked about the Carnaval in Brazil that began in last Friday. He wanted to know what are the best places to enjoy the carnival. Also, we talked about beautiful places around the world in which we desire to know. Finally we got some plans to do during spring break. I liked our conversation, because I learned new vocabulary, and also I had fun practicing and learning English with my new friend.

On February 14, I met Charlotte Beers, from Berlim Germany and she lives in Arhington. Her doughtar is one of my mother’s friend and she is American. I loved to talk with her it because I “learned” how to make scarf but I still need a few more classes because I found it very difficult.

On february 2, I met my friend Maria at my home. We talked about Brazil ,since she is going to Brazil on march 5. On January 31, I met my friend Mary at VCU. This time was different, because I introduced my mother for her and She introduced her brother for me. At VCU we talked a little and then we went together in a Chinese restaurant to have lunch. There we talked about Brazil, working in the U.S., family and children. Her brother is english teacher in Norfolk and he helped me with some questions that I had in relation to speak english, such as:I didn’t know when to use nothing and anything in a sentence and he explained for me, among other things. We had a very good time and we combined for she goes at my house on Monday to practice more english and to eat Brasilian’s food. I’m very happy with my new friend Mary!!!
